RadioTime won the 2005 Under The Radar Consumer Technologies competition sponsored by IBD Networks.
Hundreds of companies are nominated, the investor committee then selects 4 finalist for each track. The contest is like an “American Idol for Entrepreneur” competition judged by audience and investor voting. RadioTime was selected among finalists focused on new audio services ( Mercora, MoodLogic, and MSpot).
“Everyone is looking at the music puck”, said Larry Marcus, event judge and Partner with Walden Ventures. “RadioTime is doing something different with a guide and spoken programming, they are looking where the puck is going.”
Under the Radar showcased technologyís early innovators in several fast-growing sectors in the consumer space including search, podcasting, blogging, RSS, music search and distribution, digital content storage, and social networking software.
