NASCAR Racing: Amp Energy 500

With four races left in the season, few hurdles remain in Jimmie Johnson’s quest to win his fourth straight NASCAR championship. With a lead of 118 points over second place Mark Martin and 200 points over fifth place Juan Pablo Montoya, Johnson has a comfortable cushion over his competitors.

And then there’s Talladega Superspeedway. The big one. Could this 2.66 mile tri-oval be a wild-card in the 2009 NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup? Find out by following this weekend’s race action with RadioTime’s NASCAR channel.

With the Nationwide Series having the week off, the Sprint Cup Series takes center stage as the Motor Racing Network (MRN) hosts live coverage of the Amp Energy 500 on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. (ET). It does not appear that the Inside Track pre-race show will air this week.
