Tony Stewart’s win at Kansas has tightened the Chase for the Sprint Cup, leaving only 67 points separating him from front-runner Mark Martin as NASCAR visits Fontana for the Pepsi 500. While Martin blew an engine at the first Fontana race this year, Jimmie Johnson, Juan Pablo Montoya and Stewart all finished in the top 11. And qualifying has bunched most of the championship contenders at the front of pack to start the race. It appears fans are in for another great Sunday of racing.
The Nationwide Series kicks things off Saturday with the Copart 300. Motor Racing Network’s (MRN) radio coverage starts at 4:00 p.m. (ET). On Sunday, MRN’s Inside Track starts at 1:30 p.m. (ET) with live radio coverage of the Pepsi 500 at 2:30 p.m. (ET).
The battle for the Sprint Cup continues to be close as the number of races left winds down. Follow all the action with RadioTime’s NASCAR channel.
