RadioTime highlights for the week of October 19, 2009

On Monday, BBC Radio 1 begins the ten part series profiling the last decade in music.  “The Noughties:  Part 1″ airs at 4 PM Eastern.

On Tuesday, East Village Radio helps kick-off the CMJ Music Marathon in New York by airing the Stereogum CMJ Showcase.  East Village Radio will broadcast live from the event beginning at 8 PM Eastern.  The show will feature live performances from Cold Cave, The Golden Filter, Free Energy, Glasser, Telepathe, and The Dum Dum Girls.  East Village Radio will continue coverage from CMJ throughout the week with a live broadcast from the Ace hotel on Wednesday from 8 PM – Midnight and a live broadcast from the Levi’s Fader Fort on Saturday.  Also, they will be catching up with artists at various times during the week at the CMJ Artist Lounge.

On Wednesday, KEXP provides coverage from the CMJ Music Marathon beginning with a live performance from The Blakes at 10 AM Eastern.  They will continue coverage on Thursday beginning at 10 AM Eastern with a live performance by The Temper Trap.

On Thursday, Sondre Leche is the guest on WFUV’s “Words and Music from Studio A’ beginning at 9 PM Eastern.

On Friday, Andrew Bird performs at Noon on WXPN as part of XPN’s “Free at Noon” concert series.
