Just Browsing

We’ve been heads-down trying to better understand radio browse behavior. As always, the goal is to make the path for find/listen simple.

The two charts show a top-level summary of what users click first from the current menu structure.

All Digital Home Adapter products

Browse Categories for Media Adapters

All Mobile Applications

Mobile App Browse

This sample was a Friday, weekend use varies. We only considering sessions when the first click was browse or search (ignoring 80% of use that starts with a Preset).

Bill, is the use of presets evenly distributed worldwide, or does one region use presets more than the others? It looks like Europeans browse via “local” from a home device more than the other regions. I wonder if that’s because they are familiar with accessing local radio via their TV set. I remember finding the radio stations available on TV when I visited London – and that was in 1992!
