NASCAR Racing: Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500

The NASCAR Sprint Cup series returns to Pocono Raceway where Denny Hamlin won in June. With only six races left till the Chase for the Championship, most of the slots seem to be locked up. But several drivers still have a chance to race their way in. Will Mark Martin or Dale Earnhardt Jr. be able to make it into the chase? As for the Nationwide Series, it goes its own way, visiting Iowa Speedway — a track designed by Rusty Wallace. Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards have dominated the season so far. Will that dominance continue Saturday night?

Several non-race stories will surely be covered on the race broadcasts as well. On Tuesday, Jack Roush walked away from his second plane crash in either years, but was admitted to the hospital in serious but stable condition. On Wednesday, Bobby Labonte announced that he’ll be driving for JTG Daugherty Racing in 2011, after racing for TRG Motorsports this year. The spot at JTG Daugherty Racing opened up after Marcos Ambrose announced his was leaving the team at the end of the season.
