Another Friday is upon us, and here in lovely Downtown Palo Alto, we’re thankful for seeing streaks of sunshine for the first time this week. Chances are, wherever you are across the US, whether, rain, snow, sleet or whatever else, you’ve been dealing with worse than average weather. It can wear at you, make the days long. But spring has sprung, amidst the rain and wind, and we’ve been able to keep it from getting us down thanks to some great stations on TuneIn!
One of the best parts of listening to TuneIn for me is the ability to transport myself to a totally different part of the world, which in some cases means a totally different season. Such is the case with some of the best radio stations in one of my old stomping grounds, Cape Town, South Africa. SABC’s 5fm has the best dance hits to get you movin’ all weekend long. And if you like the volume at 10 rather than 11, you can check out Good Hope FM for the best in Top 40 hits. Summer is beautiful in Cape Town, and while it may coming to an end, stations like 5fm and Good Hope provide the energy on those hot summer nights, so check them out.
Maybe you just want to sit back, relax and groove along to some island rhythms. Maybe you’re trying to track down your lost shaker of salt. If that’s the case, check out Radio Margaritaville and listen to sounds of Key West. If island rhythms are your bag, we’ve got you covered there too. Try Vibe Radio from Trinidad on for size, or Real FM from Aruba, or some reggaeton with Radio Actitud from Puerto Rico and feel the sunshine and Caribbean beats wash over you.
If you want to escape to paradise, do what we do here in the office and pop on Radio Paradise, an eclectic internet station broadcasting from California’s Central Valley. They play a little something for everyone, and as I’ve mentioned before, it’s always on our most played stations list around the office. It’s a great mix of everything from folk to rock, jazz, blues, r&b and everything in between.
However you choose to relax, unwind or get whisked away this weekend, TuneIn’s got your soundtrack covered. Did we miss a station that clears your rainy skies? Let us know. Drop us a comment on Facebook or Tweet at us.
