TuneIn’s Weekend Wrap

Oh man, do I miss Mango Freeze...

It’s been a pretty long week, with big news stories capturing a lot of our attention here and around the world. But we’re looking ahead to a weekend of possibilities and good times, and if you’re doing the same, we’ve got lots of highlights and stations to check out on TuneIn to help you through.

In sports, the world turns its attention to Churchill Downs for the 137th Run for the Roses in the Kentucky Derby. Hank 96.1, WLXO out of Stamping Grove, KY, will have all your pre-race, undercard and big race coverage from the home of horse racing, starting at 2pm ET/11am PT tomorrow.

Also in sports, we’re proud to announce the addition of the Altoona Curve, AA affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, to our stable of teams with TuneIn! Now you can listen in to Curve games with the MSA Sports Network on TuneIn all season long, kicking off with tonight’s game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels starting at 7:05.

If it’s music you’re looking for, don’t forget, week two of Jazz Fest is underway in New Orleans and WWOZ has all the action covered. Check them out and let the sounds of New Orleans help you drift down to the Big Easy. And you can search the new tunein.com or within the app for music by your favorite Jazz Fest Artists, everybody from Mumford & Sons and Bon Jovi to Marcia Ball and Marco Benevento.

And if you want to keep the Cinco de Mayo partying going all weekend, check out NPR’s alt.latino podcast for the best in new music from Mexico.
