  • Talk shows comprise most of the programming
  • Majority of talk shows on the station are politically partisan in nature and take one specific point of view: conservative, liberal or libertarian.
  • If a specific political genre cannot be determined or contains a mix of political genres, the genre should be designated as political
  • Station should not play music.
Conservative
  • Follows the rules for the POLITICAL genre.
  • Majority of talk shows on the station are politically partisan with a conservative point of view.
  • Example conservative talk shows include: The Rush Limbaugh Show; The Sean Hannity Show; and the Laura Ingraham Show.
Liberal
  • Follows the rules for the POLITICAL genre.
  • Majority of talk shows on the station are politically partisan with a liberal point of view.
  • Example liberal talk shows include: The Randi Rhodes Show; The Stephanie Miller Show; and The Rachel Maddow Show.
Libertarian
  • Follows the rules for the POLITICAL genre.
  • Majority of talk shows on the station are politically partisan with a libertarian point of view.
  • An example libertarian talk show includes: The Glenn Beck Program

Public

  • We need to talk to Bill here but I think NPR should be PUBLIC NEWS TALK

Religion-Spirituality

  • Should be obvious they would have to talk for a least 2 dayparts to be considered talk

Sports

  • Talk shows about sports should described as “sports talk”
  • Play-by-Play events should fall into a genre specific to a certain team or sport
